A successful weekend in Poland and Slovakia

Keru2
Our Japanese terriers presented with a very good side during recent shows at the weekend. Keru took part in the National Dog Show in Chorzów on Saturday.

The show was organized in the Recreation Centre Skalka Świetochłowice. Keru was judged by Mrs. Lillian Lleton from Denmark. It was not the first time that Keru was assessed by this judge. Earlier, more than a year ago in Maribor Keru got BOB from her. It was no different this time. Keru presented very nicely in the ring and the judge had no doubt and give him BOB. The same judge assessed BOG of the III group. Interestingly, she liked Keru so much that she chose him for the best six terriers at the show. Although he didn’t win any place on the podium, we are so pleased that Kerus has been noticed.

A day later, were with Bayka in Lucenec, Slovakia, and took part in the International Dog Show. We had a serious problem with her. On the day of departure Oktawia noticed that Bayka has a very swollen paw. At first we thought that it is a broken paw. Cold compresses and Ketonal helped so that we could present her in the ring. The judge was Mrs. Monika Uhlíková from Slovakia. The show took place during very bad weather, the rings were covered in mud, hence the refereeing was a breeze. Bayka did up and down, one circle, was touched on the table and she got everything she could – CAC, CACIB and BOB. Due to the Bayka’s paw, we were not on BOG. On the way home, Bayka’s paw became more and more swollen. Dry ice helped just for a moment. When we were back in Czestochowa, we went straight to the vet. It turned out that Bayka was stung by something. Doctor “squeezed venom”, gave an injection and prescribed painkillers. Fortunately, this has helped and Bayka’s paw looks much better.

Overall the weekend was very successful for us.
