My question is, how can I convince an investment company that it makes more sense to let us rent an option on this property rather than rent it? I ask because it`s not just an owner, it`s a company that rents the property as the only business. This special company bought almost 40 homes in my area that were short sales, including mine, but still pending (so we have to either rent or rent our nearest house). If you decide not to buy the house in the future, you will get out of this prepayment of the option fee without having a house for it. You`ll also have all the extra rental money you paid each month to reduce the purchase price of the home. I am currently looking for options to buy a home (for the first time) and renting it with the option to buy/rent to own seems to be the best fit for our current situation. I also need to move by April 2018, so I`m trying to start this process as quickly as possible…
